This CNC machined radial Rearbrake for the Yamaha YZF R1 is completely "hidden" behind the Swingarm, so from side view of the Bike you are not able to detect the rearbrake.
Weight saving approx 2 lbs !

But this is the side-view with MOUNTED rear Brake , and : even the OEM Brakeline you can mount .
A routing of the Brakeline BELOW the Swingarm is possible too ( looks always ugly above the Swingarm )
Easy installation . I've tested it several Times , and its as easy or even faster installation than the OEM Setup
The Rearbrake Assy comes black anodized
Weight saving more than 2 lbs , or close to 1 kg unsprung weight !!

Put the whole std. SP2 reabrake assy on the scale: 1260 gr
...then I put mine on the scale 476 gr
means i've reduced the weight somewhat 66 % ,only 1/3 of std. weight remains !!!!!!
This rearbrake assy fits to every SP1 and SP2 or RC51 2001 to 07,useable with orign. Brakedisc !

1198/S/R & 1098/S/R superlight rear Brake Setup
Huge weight savings where it's most important.
Weight Savings of :
- Rotating Mass
- Unsprung Mass
While the Ducati OEM Brakedisc is at 1000 gr. ( 2.2 lbs) at 240 mm - my Brakedisc weights only 470 gr. ( 1.0 lbs ) at 220 mm
Through the decreased Diameter + the drastically weight loose, the rotating Inertia of my Disc is only ~ 28% of the OEM.
That leads into noticeable better handling and Suspension response, also considered, that the rear caliper also weights 324 gr. less than the OEM Caliper ( 0.71 lbs ).
Of course the small caliper has not the stopping Power of the OEM Caliper, but this Setup wasn't designed for transport of passengers.
Designed purely for unsprung and rotating weight loose.
The Caliper-hanger is designed to accept the OEM Speed Sensor, the Brakedisc has 4 Nubs ( same as OEM Disc) so the Speed-reading is same as OEM.
But I've included a special for those who'd like to for a very sensitive Traction Control in the future maybe:
The outside of the rear Brakedisc is grooved 40 "Readerslots" , which allow to monitor and to control the Rear Wheel Speed every driven 2" !!
And another nice feature on top:
- Extended excenter-Adjustment Opportunities !!
- As some have Problems with different Combinations of front and rear Sprocket ( they're limited by the OEM rear brake Hanger design), I machined the hanger for a larger Adjustment-range, to accept more Sprockets Combinations,
