A real thought twice made Sensor matching most Quickshift-Systems.
Due to the clever design there are nice facilities, as: - useable as PUSH or PULL Sensor - adjustable preload FORCE - adjustable preload STRETCH Power supply: 5-12V Open Collector Signal Output Delivery including Sensor w/cable 1,5m and Tyco/AMP Plug. I use the Tellert-Sensor/Quickshift Mechanism since 10 years, and I estimate it for one of the best Solutions on Market, due to the preload-facility, which can decrease the Ignition/Injection Time-out down to 40ms.
P&G; Linear Displacement Sensor, as used by all major Teams in WSBK and MotoGP.
Can be used in conjunction with all Data-Loggers (Motec ,PI , Marelli , AIM, TEAC.... whatever you have.
Electrical Connection: Delivery Content : A Recommendation is to use this Sensor also ( additional ) as steering angle Sensor, which might be very helpful for calibration and supervising of Sensors ( safety Issues ), aswell as maybe to have some small Influence in Traction Control. Most MotoGP Bikes ( as here the Desmosedici from Stoner ) do have this Sensor mounted next to the steering damper. ![]()

So now the TC-Sensor is done, with those Specs I wanted to have :
I've build this Sensor similar to what is in use at MotoGP and WSBK, and every Sensor I build is tested to meet the Specs. Because the Indication-LED needs different resistors depending on the supply Voltage, please use the comment field to let me know if you like to have the Sensor for 5 or 12 Volt Power supply, and I will build the Sensor up to your Specs.
The complete Suspension Sensor Kit.
Both Sensors which are mentioned on this Page , plus :
Infrared Temperature Sensor with 2 sideward 4mm mounting Spots.
Measuring Range (To) from -20°C to 340°C. I can program each sensor for desired range of reading within the Limits mentioned above. The Sensor comes standard with a measuring range between 0°C to +200°C ( so 32 to 392 Fahrenheit ). The Specs:
Bosch Wideband Lambda Probe LSU 4.9.
Very fast and accurate Lambda Probe- 5 wire. Suitable for all Motec Mx00 ECU's. Lambda-reading from 0.7 to 1.7 !
This Sensor has the IR-Temp Detection at the bottom of the housing, so it allows a easy and fast mounting at huggers or fenders.
Same technical Data as the IR Sensor Type I
MOTEC BL-1 GPS Module
Linear Suspension Sensor mounting Clamp

High Accuracy 5Volt Module/ Converter - 7.5 A !
Most of the Motec devices have a 5V Aux Power supply, but the Motec 5V AUX Sensor Supply has only 0.15 Amps Max. So the Motec 5V Aux Output is sufficient for a couple of Sensors, but far not
enough for "active" Sensors, as Infrared- (Temp or Distance), or Radar-Sensors,
GPS or 5V operating Stepper-Motors or similar or all together.

![]() Unveil problems, yourself, your Bike. As most what Sensors can unveil is mentioned Inside the Electronics-Intro, I want to list here the most common Sensors more detailled, and also want to demonstrate, that wiring and integration of sensors is probably easier, than most might think. Of course a wide range of sensors make only sense in combination with Dashes and/or Data-Loggers. A wide range of Sensors is designed for Industry-Applications, they mostly have a Ampere Output range from 0- 20mA, which is not suitable for most dashes and loggers or general process-Control of electronic Motorcycle-Devices. So I have focussed all sensors, which are easy to calibrate, sensors, which already come with a datasheet, means I.E. Voltage/pressure , Voltage/Heat... and so on. Most work inside some kind of " TTL environment ", with output Voltages between 0.5-4.5 Volt , and supply voltages between 5 and 15 Volt. Some need to be resistant to aggressive media such as hydraulic Fluids or gasoline, they all need to be highly shock-resistant, accompanied by high accuracy and a internal temperature Compensation, to work proper in different ranges of Temperatur ( usually sufficient here is a range from 0-80 °C ), low Hysteresis values with high repeatability. Addittional I have a closer look to extensions and weight, but If I have to choose I prefer a more accurate heavier sensor more than an " inaccurate" light one. and also ( as very Miniature Sensors I.E. for Brakepressure can cost easily 1000 euros each) I try to go for a reasonable Mix between Costs and Extension of a Sensor , because that can save a couple of thousands of $ or , which is better spend somewhere else. As far as I see it most of these Sensors have a very simple electrical Connection, they need a ground , a Power supply , and the 3rd connection is the output, which you can lead into a Logger , Dash or ECU....... or into all three . And - especially for Motorcycles you don't have to fear a infinite Number of Sensors, far not as much as maybe a Formula 1 Car. The aftermarket Sensors: - Lambda sensor(s) - Suspension linear sensors - Wheel Speed Sensors - IR- Sensors for Heat ( Tires, etc) - Exhaust Gas Temp sensors ( K-elements) - Fuelpressure Sensor - Brake/Clutch/Oilpressure Sensor - (Fuel) Temp Sensors - Angle sensor mechanical ( for cable clutch levers ) - gear detection Sensor - quickshift Sensor Already inbuild in most/all modern Bikes ( so able to monitor too ) - TP Sensor - MAP sensor - Water Temp sensor - Airbox pressure sensor - Air(box inside) Temp Sensor - Speed sensor - Oilpressure switch on/off - Neutral Switch on/off - gear Indication Sensor Easy but Important to monitor for Motorcycles without Alterntor = Voltage of Battery So this section here has far not grown to a level, where I could offer every sensor. Believe me, it's a hard Job sometimes to source the most suitable for a bike. But step by step you'll find more and more here !
Most modern Bikes do no longer deliver a clear Digital RPM Signal, which can be hooked up for aftermarket Dashes like AIM, or Motec or similar, to display the RPM.
Also for Datalogging - meanwhile it is really complicated or close to impossible to implant a RPM Signal into Logging Devices, if the ECU is still stock, because lot of stock ECU's RPM to Dash Outputs are CAN-based or do have a integrated digital Signal, which is only recognized by the OEM Dash. So this little Electronic Board helps you out - it is converting the Signal going to the Coil into a clear Digital Signal, which every Datalogger or aftermarket Tach is able to read. Power Supply: 12V (red) Signal Input: yellow Ground: brown Signal Output: black

The brandnew EVO II has all the features of the EVO Quickshift Sensor, but additional:
- LED Indication - outside adjustability if push or pull - outside adjustability for Output HI or LO - outside adjustability of the force, where shift signal is generated. You can choose 17, 20, 23 or 26 kg load to create the shift-Signal. This feature is helpful especially to adjust the force relative to the lever arm of the rearsets, which is different from Bike to Bike, and from rearset to rearset.
