As - I don't know why - Ducati has mounted a for Sportsbikes very uneccessary heavy Flywheel onto their Desmosedici, it is very easy here at this Spot at the Crank ( where weight saving has the most Potential ) to shave weight.
As the standard Parts do weight approx 2 kg. (4.41 lbs), those Aluminum CNC machined Rotors only do weight 230 gr. , thats 0.5 lbs.
So the weight saving is at ~ 3.9 lbs, which is enormous.Incredible loose of rotational Inertia ( that's why we buy expensive lightweight wheels) .
